Reading the launch
On December 18, 2013, in the middle of a brutal crash, a drunk guy logged onto Bitcointalk and typed his thread title wrong twice on purpose. He admitted he was a terrible trader, explained why that was exactly the reason he wasn't selling, signed off with "sue me (but only if it's payable in BTC)," and went to bed. Eleven minutes later, a stranger replied with one word. That word became the only religion crypto has ever had. And to this day, nobody knows who the man was.
